As a child, I never was a huge fan of s'mores. I guess it's because I haven't been super excited about marshmallows. No clue!
But as I got older and had my kids, I've become more inclined to eat them. I guess mainly because it's always been a favorite for my kids and anytime they can roast marshmallows over the fire--they're IN!
For our 4th of July dessert, we typically do something red white and blue but the older the kids get, the less "YAY" they get for things like that. I kinda hurts my mama heart. So, this year we decided on S'mores Pies! And I'm glad we did because they were a H U G E hit in our house!!
Ingredients:
chocolate pudding (homemade or boxed)
mini graham cracker crusts
mini marshmallows
mini hershey bars
Directions:
If using boxed pudding mix, follow box instructions to make pudding and let chill.
Fill each mini pie crust with pudding mixture (makes 4-6)
Top with mini marshmallows and 3 broken bars/pieces of hershey's chocolate candy bar.
Pop in the oven long enough to make the marshmallows sticky and they chocolate bars soft & melty.
