When I tell you that my family loves Hardee's it's no lie! So much so that when our local Hardees in the town we live in shut down, we were disheartened!
I know many may disagree with me, but I feel like Hardees has the BEST mushroom and swiss burger. So, since ours shut down I don't get one that often. When that craving for a mushroom & swiss hit, I knew I had to figure out how to make a dupe for this at home.
Just a note, if you've ever had this burger--know that this doesn't taste EXACTLY like the restaurant but is pretty freaking close!
Ingredients:
1 (4.5oz) can sliced mushrooms
1 can of golden mushroom soup
1 tsp worcestershire or soy sauce
1/2 tsp season salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 montreal steak seasoning
baby swiss cheese
Directions:
Combine the season salt, steak seasoning & pepper; mix well
Patty your burgers and sprinkle your season mixture over
Fry your burgers as normal
While your burgers are cooking, in a pot, combine the mushrooms with the golden mushroom soup and soy sauce or worcestershire until warmed through.
Once your burgers are done, place the baby swiss on top and allow to met
Place your burger patty on bun, top with mushroom mixture, add a slice of lettuce (if you'd like) and top with your bun top.
Make sure you have PLENTY of napkins because this is a M E S S Y burger but sooooo very good!
